Frankford NAC approves pizza shop sign

Members of the Frankford Neighborhood Advisory Committee voted to not oppose a pizza shop’s application for a zoning variance that would allow an illuminated sign at Torresdale Avenue and Anchor Street.

The operator of the Takka Grill II, 5536 Torresdale Ave., told NAC members during their Oct. 9 meeting that he needed the variance because city zoning regulations didn’t allow for the sign and that it should be lower than the sign that currently is in place. No one spoke in opposition. ••
