Two gunmen stole $7,000 cash and personal belongings from two men during a robbery in front of a Castor Gardens home on Dec. 10.
The victims, both 24, were about to enter a house on the 7100 block of Large St. at about 5 a.m. when two robbers, both armed with handguns, accosted them from behind. One of the bandits grabbed one victim’s bag, which contained cash, an iPad Air tablet and identification, police said. The other bandit snatched the other victim’s car keys. As the robbers pulled the victims toward the street, the victims broke free, prompting the robbers to flee. The victims then called police. No injuries were reported.
One robber was described as black, in his early 20s and 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a gray hooded sweatshirt. The other crook was described as black, in his early 20s, and 5 feet 6 inches tall with a black hooded sweatshirt.
