Monty Farley graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in business administration in marketing from Coastal Carolina University. Farley was among more than 1,100 candidates for graduation at the university’s commencement exercises.

Margaret Ruskowski was among the 32 University of Scranton students inducted into Omega Beta Sigma, the women’s business honor society.

••

The following local students were recognized at Albright College’s 2015 Honors & Awards Ceremony: Taylor Lindline, a history/political science major, received the Maltzer (Pre-Law) Award and Lewis E. Smith Political Science Award; and Alexis Jenofsky, an arts administration/English major, received the CURA Award.

Jennifer Capaccio, a senior with a major in corporate communications, was named to the dean’s list at Lycoming College.

Saint Joseph’s University senior Carl Cardozo was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, which is America’s oldest academic honor society for liberal arts. Cardozo is studying history and ancient studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at Saint Joseph’s.

Lebanon Valley College announced that Caitlyn Berdel and Raymond Gawronski have enrolled for the fall 2015 semester.

Megan Burns has been inducted into the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society at Kutztown University. Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of criminal justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students.

Timothy Hinchey was named a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society. Hinchey is studying psychology at Alvernia University and is a graduate of Roman Catholic High School.

Alvernia University students Anika June (criminal justice) and Shaneka Madden (social work) were inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society. Madden and Cheyangela Lynn, a social work major, were inducted into the Phi Alpha honor society.

Christine Danielle Fisher, of Bustleton, made the dean’s honor list for the spring 2015 semester at Ursinus College.

Widener University School of Law held its annual Student Awards Ceremony for the Delaware campus. The honorees included: Moses M. Bates, who received the Charles J. Zencey Memorial Award, given to a graduating student who has demonstrated a commitment to protecting the environment, and who is likely to pursue a career that furthers environmental protection. Bates will take the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar exams. He is the son of David and Julie Bates. Karen E. Braciszewski, who received the William J. and Ella C. Wolf Award in Real Property Law, given for excellence in property law or real estate development, and the Esther F. Clark Memorial Scholarship, given for the highest combined average in evidence and criminal procedure. She also received the Judge J. Cullen Ganey Criminal Procedure Award, given for the highest grade in criminal law. Finally, she received an outstanding student service award, given annually to a small number of graduates who have been actively involved in the Widener community and who have been of outstanding service to the school. Braciszewski will take the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar exams. She will clerk for Judge Bernard E. DeLury Jr. in the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Juniata College awarded Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees during its 137th commencement. Rebecca Kelly Kane, daughter of Dennis Kane, received a B.S. in wildlife conservation. Marjorie Gisvel Moreno, daughter of Julio and Paula Cueva, received a B.A. in international political economy and Spanish/Hispanic cultures. ••
