Candlelight vigil planned in memory of murder victim

On Saturday, Aug. 29, a candlelight vigil will be held in Northwood to mark the 25th anniversary of Todd Andell’s death.

The vigil will be held at the war memorial at the south end of Frankford Stadium, at Wakeling and Large streets, at 6:30 p.m.

The Rev. Paul Andell, Todd’s father and the retired longtime pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, will participate in the remembrance along with family and friends.

Todd Andell had just turned 21 when he was murdered in lower Kensington. He is buried in the Andell family grave site of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in rural Aitkin, Minnesota. The lake home where he spent summers is nearby.

The murder remains unsolved.

The community and friends of Todd are invited. ••
