A resident of a Far Northeast apartment complex was shot and killed on the lawn outside his building on Monday night, police say.
Investigators have announced no motive or suspects in the slaying, which occurred at about 8:37 p.m. at the Korman Residential at Rushwood apartments, 10800 Keswick Road, in the Chalfont section of the Northeast.
Officers from the 8th district responded to a police radio report of a shooting and found Marquise Billups-Gosnell, 21, of that address, lying on the front lawn. He had a gunshot wound of the chest and was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus, where he was pronounced dead at 10:22 p.m.
Chief Inspector Scott Small, speaking to news reporters at the scene, said that witnesses told police they saw two people running from the scene. Small described them as a man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and thin with a white shirt; as well as a woman with a black shirt and blue jeans. Small did not specify the races of the two. ••
