A Parkwood man with a rap sheet containing at least three prior arrests in Philadelphia was sentenced last week in Bucks County to serve up to 33 years in state prison for a string of armed robberies in the Northeast and its suburbs.
During a Dec. 28 hearing in Doylestown, Common Pleas Court Judge Diane E. Gibbons also ordered Glenn C. Brennan, 30, of the 3100 block of Morning Glory Road, to serve 20 years of state probation concurrently with his prison sentence of 16–1/2 to 33 years, according to The Intelligencer.
Brennan allegedly admitted to Bensalem police that he robbed six businesses in that township as well as five in the Northeast last January and February. Undercover police arrested him on March 4 when they spotted him allegedly watching another Bensalem business, stopped him and found a black pellet gun on his person. That’s when he confessed, authorities said.
Online court documents do not specify the names of the targeted businesses, but published reports state that they included Smokin Dudz at 527 Bristol Pike in Andalusia; along with a 76 station at Knights and Dunks Ferry roads, and a Riggins station at 2030 Street Road, both in Bensalem. Previously, Philadelphia police identified Brennan as a suspect in the robberies of Sunoco APlus at 13000 Bustleton Ave. last Feb. 13 and 19.
Court records show that Brennan pleaded guilty to 91 separate counts involving the 11 separate hold-ups during last week’s court hearing. All of the cases were combined in Bucks County. Brennan was not charged in the city. ••
