A thief who carjacked a patron of a Mayfair gas station two months ago remains on the loose, police say.
It was about 9:30 p.m. on March 3 when a 29-year-old woman drove her 2013 Honda Civic to the Express Fuel station at 6300 Frankford Ave. and left the vehicle running as she stepped inside the business, police said. As she glanced outside, the motorist saw an unknown man get into the driver’s seat of her car. She bolted outside and grabbed the car as the thief drove away, dragging the woman about 30 feet. The crook was last seen driving toward Stirling Street.
The victim was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police described the stolen car as silver in color with four doors.
The suspect was described as black with a dark complexion, a medium build and a beard, wearing a dark sweatshirt, a blue jeans jacket, a large silver watch, camouflage pants and white sneakers.
