In recognition for their job performance, Manes and Nodiff were recently named Officers of the Month in the 15th.

On March 16, the officers heard numerous gunshots while on patrol and saw a man running with a gun in hand. They chased him on foot and captured him with a gun. Detectives later determined that he had fired 17 shots. Police did not specify the location. No injuries were reported.
On March 22 on the 2900 block of Cottman Ave., the officers spotted a man who was wanted for a prior shooting. They stopped the man and determined that he had hidden a gun in a sewer near the Mayfair Community Center.
One day later, Manes and Nodiff responded to a home invasion robbery, arrested the suspect fleeing the scene and recovered two handguns.
On March 24, the officers spotted four men on the 7400 block of Rowland Ave. shortly after they allegedly took part in a robbery in Pennypack Park. The victim later identified the four as the culprits. Manes and Nodiff recovered the victim’s stolen property. ••
