Presbyterian church appoints new pastor

The Presbytery of Philadelphia and congregation of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 808 Red Lion Road, invite the public to take part in the service of installation of the Rev. Heidi Hankel as pastor on Sunday, June 11, at 4 p.m.

Hankel, 36, was born in Philadelphia and raised in Penndel, Bucks County. She is a graduate of Neshaminy High School and Cairn University and holds a master’s from Princeton Theological Seminary.

She is celebrating her 10th year of ministry in the same year that Bethesda will celebrate its 150th anniversary.

Commemorations are planned for November. The congregation has met at 808 Red Lion Road since 1955. ••
