The free program, open to Philadelphia high school dropouts, will provide GED test preparation, service learning projects and more.
JEVS Human Services, a social service agency offering skills training and career-building opportunities, will begin a new class of its Project World of Work program on July 10 at Orleans Technical College, 2770 Red Lion Road.
The deadline to enroll is Thursday, July 6.
The 24-week program is free and open to Philadelphia high school dropouts ages 18–24.
The program includes hands-on training, a career diploma, GED test preparation, an IT learning and training track, paid work experience, service learning projects, free SEPTA transpasses, financial incentives, a dedicated job coach and a pre-apprenticeship program.
