A male and female fled the scene after colliding with another vehicle and causing the death of a 33-year-old white male.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that happened in the Tacony area last Wednesday morning that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man.

The 1999 vehicle, which had a driver and two passengers, was sent crashing through the fence of a private property on the northeast corner of the intersection. The man in the back seat was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. He was taken to Aria-Jefferson Health Hospital in Torresdale where he was declared dead at 1:38 a.m.

Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Brian Fox.

The driver and front-seat passenger were taken to the same hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Immediately after crashing into the first vehicle, the driver and passenger in the 2003 vehicle crashed into a legally parked car. They fled the scene, leaving the car behind.

Police are still trying to track down the driver and passenger, believed to be a male and female.

Approximately seven hours after the incident, a female who police believe was involved in the incident arrived at the hospital with injuries. Investigators did not make contact with the female and are trying to determine if she was the driver. Her name has not yet been released.

Police are also trying to identify the male who was seen fleeing the scene. ••
