The Northeast Times would like to congratulate the following college graduates, students who were named to their school’s dean’s list, and area residents who recently received special honors.

Carina Vargas was among 788 members of Bryant University’s Class of 2018. Vargas graduated cum laude with a degree in accounting. She is one of 45,000 alums of Bryant (Rhode Island).

Students have been named to the University of Delaware dean’s list. Local members are Tara Cohen, Madelynn Corcoran, Katelynn Emore, Rebecca Fruehwald, Emily Jardel, Perri Keehfuss, Jessica Loughery, Nhu Nguyen and Nicolette Wons. To meet eligibility requirements for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

The University of Hartford announced that Ona Hoxha has been named to its dean’s list.

Alexis Morace is one of nearly 200 Lebanon Valley College student-athletes named to the Middle Atlantic Conference’s Academic Honor Roll. Morace, a graduate of Villa Joseph Marie High School, is a member of the women’s swimming team, and is pursuing a degree in exercise science. The academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity-level sport and register a term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher during their season of competition.

Christian Matico earned a spot on the University of Dayton’s dean’s list, which honors undergraduate students achieving a minimum 3.5 GPA for the semester.

Amanda Krier participated as a member of Alvernia’s Campus Activities Board in 2017–18 while studying Early Childhood Education Pre K-4 with Special Education Pre K-8. Campus Activities Board provides a variety of free events for Alvernia students to attend both on and off campus.

Nino Niniashvili has been named to the dean’s list at the University at Albany. Students named to the dean’s list earned at least a 3.5 GPA.

Hofstra University congratulates the students named to the dean’s list for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the dean’s list. Local students named to the dean’s list are Nicolette Michalowski, Jacinth Nurse and Brooke Williams.

Kaitlin Dyson graduated with a degree in English, with high honors, from Lehigh University.

More than 1,700 students have been named to the dean’s list at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60. Local members of the dean’s list are Marshae Batchelor, Nichole Beyer, Kenneth Callaghan, Allison Fanning, Nyairah Flowers, Kylie Guinan, Tamara Jennings, Megan Kirn, Kursteen Lundy, Matthew Maher, Gabrielle Mason, Kennedi McStravick, Sean Nagy, Werner Paulino, Ali Pottebaum, Morgan Rutkowski, Jennifer Schulle, Alyssa St. Clair, Caterina Tallarico, Ashley Watts and Erin Wible.

Bloomsburg University recently released its list of students named to the dean’s list. To qualify for dean’s list, a student must earn a quality point average of 3.5 or higher (based on 4.0) during the semester.

Local students on the dean’s list are Alyssa Augustine, Jamie Davis, Veronica Dejesus, Amber Dorwart, Steven Driscoll, Katherine Ewing, William Gaffney, Xiane Goda Tierra Johnson, Britny Keyes, Robert Kilpatrick, Louis Marano, Patricia Millan, Brendan Morales, David Murray, Grace Overwise, Emily Payne, Nathalia Pena, Morgan Petsis, Elena Rece, Jessica Roby, Kellyann Rubeo, Adelina Sacouto, Robert Sherman, Amanda Simone, Sabrina Sparks, Skylar Tabita, Courtney Taub, Kristine Wagner and Tanisha Webster. ••
