Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two vehicles that struck the 50-year-old man who was crossing the street and fled the scene.
A 50-year-old man was killed when two vehicles struck him while he was crossing an intersection at Torresdale and Cottman avenues Friday night, police say.
Police have released photos to help identify the vehicles and their drivers they believe struck the man.
The man was walking on the crosswalk at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Nov. 9 when he was struck by a gray Toyota Camry making a left turn onto Torresdale Avenue from Cottman Avenue. She struck the pedestrian and continued driving north on Torresdale. Police say the driver was a white female.
A dark-colored Mitsubishi Galant with tinted windows struck the pedestrian approximately 15 seconds later as the vehicle made a right turn onto Torresdale Avenue. That driver also continued north on Torresdale. Police say the driver was a Hispanic male.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:30 p.m.
