A 90-year-old man was in critical condition after being hit by a car Friday morning in Rhawnhurst.

A 90-year-old man was in critical condition after being hit by a car Friday morning on Roosevelt Boulevard in Rhawnhurst, according to police.

Police said the man walked into the southbound outer lanes of the Boulevard near Faunce Street and was struck by a car around 9:50 a.m. He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and listed in critical condition, authorities said.

The driver remained on the scene, according to police.

Authorities did not release any additional information on the crash. ••
