Police investigating burglary at Roosevelt Boulevard shoe store

A man used a sledgehammer to break into the store and make off with three stacks of boxes, police said.

Police are looking for a man who used a sledgehammer to break into a shoe store on Roosevelt Boulevard.

The suspect, a black man, pulled up to the Red Wing Shoes store at 10050 Roosevelt Blvd. just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police. After looking inside the store, he is seen on surveillance footage pulling out a sledgehammer and smashing the glass door of the property.

Police said the man made three trips into the store’s back room, taking stacks of boxes and putting them in the trunk of his silver four-door sedan.
