Update (1/22): Police have identified the victim as William E. Robinson, 36, of West Philadelphia.
Homicide detectives are investigating after a 36-year-old man was shot and killed Friday afternoon on the 1600 block of Orthodox Street in Frankford.
Officers responded to the scene at 4:48 p.m. after a report of a person with a gun and found a man lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest and neck. He was transported to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 6:30 p.m., police said.
No weapon was recovered, and no arrest has been made in connection with the shooting, authorities said. ••
