Police are searching for a masked man who robbed a Rite Aid in Rhawnhurst after pointing a gun at a teenage cashier.
The suspect entered the store at Roosevelt Boulevard and Solly Avenue around 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, authorities said. He pointed a handgun at a 17-year-old female employee, who opened the cash register and backed away, according to police.
Police said the man took an unknown amount of cash and was last spotted fleeing west on Solly Avenue toward Leonard Street.
Authorities described the suspect as a light-skinned man between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black sneakers, a black mask and gloves, according to police.
