Man in critical condition after Frankford shooting

A 26-year-old man was shot Friday night inside a market near Frankford Avenue and Foulkrod Street.

A 26-year-old man was in critical condition Friday night after being shot inside a store in Frankford, according to police.

Officers were travelling on the 1500 block of Foulkrod Street just after 8 p.m. Friday when they heard several gunshots. An employee from a nearby store ran up to the officers and told them several men were just shot inside the business, police said.

Police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside the market, located on the 4800 block of Frankford Avenue. He was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon, and the Northeast Detective Division is investigating the shooting, police said. ••
