St. Patrick’s Day party Saturday at St. Bart’s
St. Bartholomew Parish will present a St. Patrick’s Day extravaganza on Saturday, March 16, from 7 p.m. to midnight in its church hall, 5600 Harbison Ave.
The cost is $35 and includes a hot buffet, beer, soda, DJ, basket raffle and 50/50. It’s a BYOB event.
The party is open to people 21 and older. ••
Concert Sunday at St. William Church
The St. William Sunday Concert Series will continue on Sunday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at the church, 6200 Rising Sun Ave.
The program will feature Constantia, a group from Holy Angels Parish that will perform a variety of pieces.
There will be a freewill offering for admission. Light refreshments will follow the concert.

Poetry reading at Holmesburg Library
Holmesburg Library, 7810 Frankford Ave., will host an open poetry reading on Wednesday, March 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to any poets or songwriters 18 and older.

Nature and history walk on Sunday
Friends of Pennypack Park will hold its monthly nature and history walk on Sunday, March 17, at 1 p.m.
Walkers will meet at Frankford and Solly avenues.
This walk will focus on the natural features of Pennypack Creek, which led to the settlement and early industry in this area. Much of this walk will be on the unpaved park trails. The distance is about 1 mile.

John Birch Society to meet next week
The John Birch Society will meet on Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at Holmesburg Recreation Center, Rhawn and Ditman streets.
There will be a presentation on The USMCA: What are they not telling you. The discussion will center on whether the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement is really a better deal than NAFTA.

Elvis coming to Bustleton
American Legion Post 810, 9151 Old Newtown Road, will host an Elvis Presley show on Friday, May 3.

Philadelphia Fleadh Festival coming to the Armory
The Philadelphia Fleadh Festival will take place on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory, 2700 Southampton Road (at Roosevelt Boulevard).
