Pizza boy robbed at gunpoint in Castor Gardens

A group of five men held up a 17-year-old pizza delivery boy Wednesday night on the 1400 block of Friendship Street.

A 17-year-old pizza delivery boy was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men Wednesday night on the 1400 block of Friendship Street in Castor Gardens, police said.

The victim was making a delivery around 10:45 p.m. when he was approached by five black men, two of whom were armed with handguns, authorities said. The group took cash and food from the 17-year-old, according to police.

The delivery boy was not injured, police said.

Authorities did not release a description of the suspects. The Northeast Detective Division is actively investigating the robbery. ••
