Authorities are trying to identify a man who last week robbed the Citizens Bank at the corner of Frankford Avenue and Teesdale Street in Mayfair.

The suspect, described as a black man in his 40s, entered the branch at 11:20 a.m. Friday and handed the teller a threatening note, police said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled north on Frankford Avenue, according to authorities.

Police said the suspect is 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He has acne scars on his face, and he was wearing a dark navy blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark-colored sneakers and a black backpack at the time of the robbery, authorities said.

The man is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robbery or suspect is asked to call the FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.

A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest, and tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
