A bank on Knights Road in Millbrook was robbed on Friday for the second time in a matter of days.
The most recent incident occurred Friday when a man entered the BB&T Bank at 12051 Knights Road at 9:15 a.m. and handed the teller a demand note, police said. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled south on Knights Road.
A similar incident occurred Tuesday, May 14, but authorities provided a different description of the suspect.
Police described the man involved in Friday’s robbery as a black man between the ages of 30 and 35 years old who is about 5 feet 7 with an average build. He is bald and has a beard and was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark blue pants and black shoes at the time of the robbery, police said.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000. A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest, and tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
