A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot 11 times Tuesday, May 28, in Frankford.
He was sitting in a car around 4 p.m. outside a home on the 5800 block of Penn Street (near Van Kirk Street) when two armed men jumped out of a van, police said. The suspects surrounded the car and opened fire.
Capt. John Walker, of the 15th Police District, said one man shot from the passenger’s side window while the other fired through the driver’s side.
The 20-year-old was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Walker said the suspects are black males, and the van was described as burgundy or purple.
The investigation is active and ongoing with Northeast Detectives. ••
