Authorities are investigating after the body of a woman was discovered early Wednesday morning near Overington Park in Frankford.
The body of a 39-year-old black woman was found by an employee of Republic Services, a waste management company, around 6 a.m. on the 4600 block of Leiper Street, police said. She was wrapped in plastic inside of a trash can, authorities said.
Police have not identified the victim, and no arrests have been made. ••
