A 30-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly shot her boyfriend Wednesday, June 5, outside Jefferson Torresdale Hospital on Knights Road.
Authorities say the shooting stemmed from an argument the two had been having over text throughout the day. The 30-year-old man was at the hospital visiting family around 10 p.m. when he spotted his girlfriend in her car, police said.
When he approached the driver’s side, she opened the door and fired four shots, one of which hit him in the back, authorities said. He ran into the emergency room, and she fled the scene, according to police.
He is listed in stable condition, authorities said.
On Thursday, police arrested Ella D. Saunders, 30, of West Philadelphia, and she was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related crimes in connection with the shooting. ••
