Police are looking for a man who showed an Acme employee a gun and took money from the register on June 30.
The man walked up to the counter of the Acme located at 6601 Roosevelt Blvd. at about 9 p.m. and placed an item on the counter. While the female employee rang up the item, he demanded money from the register while showing a handgun inside his waistband.
After receiving the money, he fled in an unknown direction, possibly in a dark-colored car.
Police describe him as a black male around 40 years of age standing 6 feet tall and weighing 210-220 pounds. He has a full beard and a shaved head and was wearing a red, white and blue striped polo shirt with blue jeans and dark-colored sneakers.
