Two men allegedly broke into a Castor Gardens home with a machete Monday morning and left without taking anything, police said.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman, called police around 10 a.m. and reported the home invasion on the 7100 block of Oakland Street, authorities said. She told officers the men came through the rear of her property with a machete.

Police said the woman was not injured, and she told authorities the men did not steal anything from the home.

Both suspects are described as 5-foot-6 Hispanic men with thin builds. One was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with “Hollister” on the front, police said.

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday. The investigation is active and ongoing with Northeast Detectives. ••
