Teen music program at World Cafe Live
Tacony-based Share the Spotlight will hold its annual end-of-season concert at World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut St., on Saturday, Aug. 3, from noon to 2 p.m.
The free show features 19 middle and high school students performing classic rock, soul and funk songs.
Share the Spotlight offers a tuition-free summer music program for teens. Students rehearsed twice a week through June and July and received individual lessons. Also available were free workshops for students interested in auditioning for public high schools with arts programs.

National Night Out Tuesday in Fox Chase
State Rep. Kevin Boyle will host a National Night Out event for residents of the 172nd Legislative District on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fox Chase Elementary School parking lot, 500 Rhawn St.
Prior to the event, there will be a community bike ride with the 2nd and 7th police districts, starting at 5:30 p.m.
There will be games, prizes and giveaways, music entertainment, food, information about state and local resources, and chances to meet with local police and emergency personnel. ••
Trip to AC on Monday
The Northeast Catholic Alumni Association is sponsoring Summer Fun Trip III on Monday, Aug. 5.
A bus will depart the alumni house, Rhawn and Fairfield streets, at 9 a.m. and arrive back at about 7 p.m. There will be a one-hour boat ride on the A.C. Cruise and a five-hour stay at Caesars Casino with $25 slot cash and a lunch buffet. The cost is $70.

Children’s theater show through Saturday
Storybook Musical Theatre will present Princess and the Pea, at the Gratz College theater, Old York Road and Melrose Avenue, in Melrose Park, through Saturday, Aug. 3. Performances are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to Friday, and 11 a.m. Saturday.

Car show on Sunday
The fourth annual Doc’s Rock the Block Car Show will take place on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 240 Geiger Road.Â
The event will go on rain or shine. Proceeds will benefit the Sunshine Foundation and Temple University’s Dental Haiti Foundation. Car registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and costs $25. Trophies will be awarded to winners.
There will be live music by Philly Rock and Soul, raffles, food trucks and a 50-50. The event is in memory of David Bresler, founder of Doc Bresler’s Cavity Busters.Â

Movie series at KleinLife
KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave., will be holding an At the Movies-themed lifelong learning series for active and maturing adults.

Forman Mills will give gift cards to the first 200 adults in line on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2-3, at its new store in the Cedarbrook Plaza, 1000 Easton Road, in Wyncote.
The Pennsauken, New Jersey-based discount fashion warehouse company will now have 43 stores in 11 markets from Chicago to the Bronx, with more in the planning stages.
Doors will open Friday at 8 a.m. at the new 3,000-square-foot store, which will employ more than 100 people. ••

Oxley Post showing ‘Remember the 27 Crusaders’
The William D. Oxley American Legion Post 133, 4637 Decatur St. (at Torresdale Avenue, a block south of Rhawn St.), will be screening the movie Remember the 27 Crusaders on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 8 p.m.
The public is welcome. Admission is free.
Remember the 27 Crusaders is a full-length documentary recounting the lives, military service and deaths of the 27 Father Judge High School graduates who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War and the lingering effects the losses had on the community. ••
