A 60-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint while using an ATM in Bustleton earlier this month, and police have released surveillance video in an attempt to catch the suspect.

Around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, the victim was depositing money into the ATM at the Bank of America at Bustleton and Grant avenues when he heard footsteps. When he turned around, he saw a man pointing a handgun at him, police said.

The 60-year-old man threw his money on the ground, authorities said. After the suspect picked it up, he tried to steal the victim’s car. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled, running through the parking lot.
