Police on Monday night arrested a naked man who was allegedly smashing car windows in Bustleton.
Officers encountered the 42-year-old suspect, who was not immediately identified, at 9:30 p.m. on the 2300 block of Tremont Street after neighbors called to report a person with a weapon.
The man ignored officers when they ordered him to lay down, and police used a taser to subdue him, authorities said. Police later learned that he vandalized at least four cars parked on the block. Some vehicles had broken windshields, windows and side mirrors, according to authorities.
Police took the suspect to Nazareth Hospital to be treated for cuts to his hands. The Northeast Detective Division continues to investigate the incident. ••
