A 51-year-old man died after being shot Friday afternoon in the basement of a house on the 1600 block of Comly Street, police said.
Officers responded to 1622 Comly St. (a few blocks east of Roosevelt Boulevard) around 3:30 p.m. and were directed to David Serrano, who had been shot one time in the back. Medical personnel administered CPR, but Serrano died at the scene, authorities said.

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday.
Investigators believe the suspect may be a 65-year-old man. There was no word on a motive in the killing. ••
