Two men were charged with murder after a 31-year-old man died early Thursday morning in the aftermath of a shooting the night before in Castor Gardens.
Authorities said Syambabu Thankappan, 31, was shot not far from his house around 11 p.m. Wednesday on the 7200 block of Bradford Street. He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he died at 4:30 a.m., according to police.
Prince Kunjappan-Joy, 34, of Somerton, and Abraham Thomas, 51, of Bustleton, were later charged with murder, criminal conspiracy and related crimes in connection with the shooting, police said.
Both men are being held without bail. Investigators believe the killing stemmed from an argument, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. ••
