A Philadelphia police officer who lives in Lawncrest was arrested Friday and charged with sexual assault and related crimes, authorities said.
Novice Sloan, 28, of the 600 block of Comly Street, is accused of assaulting a woman inside his home after a date on Aug. 8, according to multiple media reports.
After being charged, Sloan was suspended from the department with intent to dismiss, police said. He is being held at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility on $1 million bail.
Sloan, who was assigned to the 17th District in South Philadelphia, allegedly drugged the woman and filmed having sex with her without consent, CBS3 reported.
A preliminary hearing for Sloan is set for Oct. 17. ••
