A man was critically injured Wednesday night in a hit-and-run crash on Roosevelt Boulevard near Pratt Street, police said.
The man was crossing in the middle of the block while the driver was making a left turn onto the Boulevard at around 8 p.m., investigators said. After being hit, the man was thrown 20 feet into a guard rail, according to police.
Police said the driver didn’t stop and headed northbound on the Boulevard.
The man was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital after suffering head trauma and a broken right leg, authorities said.
Investigators say the suspect was driving a silver or gray Ford pickup truck with black on the side. Authorities continue to investigate the crash. ••
