Officers responded to the 3100 block of Barnett Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, and found Djibril Diall, of the 2700 block of Elbridge Street, with gunshot wounds to the head, back and stomach.

He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he died at 6:48 p.m., police said.

The killing was caught on video. Capt. John Walker, commander of the 15th Police District, said the footage shows two men run up the steps of the house and open fire on Diall, who was shielding himself from heavy rain.

“There’s no doubt he was the intended target,” he said. “There’s no doubt their intent was to kill.”

Walker said Diall may not have even spotted his attackers coming. The video shows him looking down at his phone when the gunfire starts, Walker said.

The shooters were last seen running toward Frankford Avenue.

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday, and there was no word on a motive. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the shooting. ••
