Two people were walking home from Wawa on Monday night in Wissinoming when a man hopped out of a truck and opened fire, authorities said.

Officers responded to the 5700 block of Walker Street (near Cheltenham Avenue) around 11:46 p.m. and found a 36-year-old man lying in a pool of blood. He was shot twice in the buttocks and once in the lower back, police said.

He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, authorities said.

Investigators say the victim and a friend were walking down the block when the shooter got out on the passenger side of a silver Ford F-150. He jumped back in the truck after the shooting and fled north on Walker Street.

No arrests had been made as of Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing with Northeast Detectives. ••
