The Northeast Times provides an overview of crimes reported to the four police districts in the Northeast. The details are based on reports compiled by the Northeast Detectives division of the Philadelphia Police Department.

Oct. 14 through 27

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

2nd Police District

There were 11 robberies, which resulted in two arrests. Gary Mulder, 19, was arrested Oct. 15 following a robbery involving a handgun on the street at 6000 Large St., and Mone Poole, 24, was arrested Oct. 20 following the robbery of a chain food store at 2300 Cottman Ave. Other robberies took place on the street at 5400 Bingham St. (Oct. 26), which involved a handgun, 1200 Princeton Ave. (Oct. 27), which involved a knife, and 7600 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 17), 4600 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 19), 700 Adams Ave. (Oct. 19) and the intersection of Glendale and Bleigh avenues (Oct. 22), which did not involve weapons. Other robberies happened at a store at 700 Adams Ave. (Oct. 20) with a handgun, an auto parts store at 500 Adams Ave. (Oct. 21) and a vehicle parked at 5700 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 24) with a handgun.

There were 11 aggravated assaults. Mao Shi, 43, was arrested Oct. 26 following an assault with a knife on the street at 7100 Saul St., and Nolan Williams, 26, was arrested Oct. 21 following an assault on police at 6300 Bustleton Ave. Other assaults took place at private residences at 1100 Alcott St. (Oct. 14), 6800 Horrocks St. (Oct. 14), 1400 Stevens St. (Oct. 14) and twice at 1600 Magee Ave. (Oct. 20). Assaults on the street took place at 800 Fanshawe St. (Oct. 27), the intersection of Tyson Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard (Oct. 14) and twice at 5800 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 20) with a handgun.

There were four burglaries, which happened at private residences at 7100 Rising Sun Ave. (Oct. 19) and 1300 Hellerman St. (Oct. 20), a grocery store/deli at 6600 Oxford Ave. (Oct. 19) and a cleaner/Laundromat at 6700 Castor Ave. (Oct. 26).

There were 98 thefts, which targeted 42 vehicles (including seven stolen vehicle tags), 37 businesses, 10 street thefts (including three purse snatchings), six private residences, two bicycles and a nursing/retirement home. Eight arrests were made.

7th Police District

There were six robberies. Luis Medina, 36, was arrested Oct. 15 following a robbery involving a handgun at a private residence at 2300 Arthur St. Robberies on the street happened at 1800 Arthur St. (Oct. 16) and 2000 Solly Ave. (Oct. 27), which both involved handguns, and 8400 Bustleton Ave. (Oct. 17) and the intersection of Sanford and Ferndale streets (Oct. 19), which did not involve weapons. There was also a robbery at an undisclosed location at 10700 Bustleton Ave.

There were six aggravated assaults. Joseph Waslenko, 28, was arrested Oct. 15 following an assault on police at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd. Assaults on the street happened at 10900 Lockart St. (Oct. 16) with a knife, 12000 Bustleton Ave. (Oct. 21) with a weapon, 100 Byberry Road (Oct. 27) and an assault on police at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 15). A domestic assault happened at a private residence at 2300 Arthur St. on Oct. 14.

The four burglaries took place at private residences at 10100 Haldeman Ave. (Oct. 18) and 8700 Alicia St. (Oct. 21), an apartment house at 10100 Northeast Blvd. (Oct. 25) and an unlisted location at 1800 Grant Ave. (Oct. 19).

There were 43 thefts, which targeted 15 vehicles (including a stolen car phone and two stolen vehicle tags), 15 businesses, six street thefts, three apartment houses, a private residence, a bicycle, a hospital and a nursing/retirement home. Nine arrests were made.

8th Police District

The five robberies took place on the street at 2600 Welsh Road (Oct. 21) with a handgun and 9100 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 26), at stores at 8000 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 22) and 2500 Grant Ave. (Oct. 27) with handguns, and at a private residence at 8400 Jackson St. (Oct. 19). 

The three assaults took place on the street at 100 Franklin Mills Blvd. (Oct. 17)  and 4500 Carwithan St. (Oct. 17) and at a private residence at 10800 Modena Drive (Oct. 26).

The four burglaries took place at a private residence at 3100 Weston St. (Oct. 18), an apartment house at 9400 Fairgreen Lane (Oct. 24), a car wash at 800 Franklin Mills Circle (Oct. 22) and a storage facility at 12000 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 14). 

There were 57 thefts, which targeted 32 businesses, 16 vehicles (including a stolen car phone and vehicle tag), three private residences, two street thefts, two bicycles, an apartment house and a hospital. Four arrests were made. In addition, eight vehicles were stolen, and five were recovered.

15th Police District

There were 32 robberies, which resulted in four arrests. Robberies on the street took place at 6200 Mershon St. (Oct. 14), 4200 Robbins St. (Oct. 14), 1800 Gillingham St. (Oct. 14), 5200 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 16), 6200 Jackson St. (Oct. 20, Jahmere Franklin, 19), 3900 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 21), 3200 Wellington St. (Oct. 23), 6800 Keystone St. (Oct. 23), 5700 Tackawanna St. (Oct. 25), 5900 Charles St. (Oct. 25, Rasheedah Abdullah, 41), 4200 Kensington Ave. (Oct. 27) and 6400 Walker St. (Oct. 27), all of which involved handguns; 4900 Rawle St. (Oct. 14) and 7000 Tulip St. (Oct. 19), both of which involved knives; 5200 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 20), which involved a weapon; and 5200 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 15), 6600 Hegerman St. (Oct. 18), 4300 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 18), 4300 Wellington St. (Oct. 18), 6900 Hegerman St. (Oct. 19), 6400 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 20), 5200 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 23), 1500 Arrott St. (Oct. 23), 6500 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 24, Nakaiyar Madison, 18, and Quadir Pratt, 19) and 3500 Wellington St. (Oct. 24), all of which did not involve weapons. Other robberies took place at an office building at 6200 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 20), a drug store at 7000 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 26), an apartment house at 5500 Large St. (Oct. 23), a private residence at 1900 Haworth St. (Oct. 26), a mini market at 7900 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 27), a vehicle parked at 4900 Valley St. (Oct. 21) and SEPTA property at 5200 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 20).

There were 31 aggravated assaults, which resulted in 11 arrests. Assaults on the street took place twice at 4400 Frankford Ave. (Oct. 16), 5900 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 19, Janile Waddy, 19), 5400 Tulip St. (Oct. 18), 4900 Pennway St. (Oct. 19), 6200 Mershon St. (Oct. 21, Marcus Kearney, 29), 1500 Unity St. (Oct. 22), 4400 Devereaux Ave. (Oct. 23) and 4700 Benner St. (Oct. 26), all of which involved handguns; 5200 Roosevelt Blvd. (Oct. 19) and 5800 Saul St. (Oct. 23), both of which involved weapons; domestic assaults at 5800 Saul St. (Oct. 23) and 5400 Akron St. (Oct. 23); and assaults on police at 1600 Allengrove St. (Oct. 24, Nakaiyar Madison, 18, and Quadir Pratt, 19), 3000 Princeton Ave. (Oct. 17) and 3100 Ryan Ave. (Oct. 22). Assaults at private residences included domestic assaults at 6200 Erdrick St. (Oct. 18, Tyreese Dukes, 36), 4000 Teesdale St. (Oct. 19), 1900 Church St. (Oct. 15, Yusue Abdullah, 32), 7000 Vandyke St. (Oct. 19), 1900 Lardner St. (Oct. 18), 4100 Passmore St. (Oct. 19), 6700 Vandyke St. (Oct. 20), 2600 Levick St. (Oct. 18) and 5000 Homestead St. (Oct. 27); an assault with a shotgun at 1600 Bridge St. (Oct. 20); an assault with another weapon at 5800 Saul St. (Oct. 23); and an assault with no weapon at 4500 Worth St. (Oct. 26, John Sutachan, 27). Chris Bowers, 20, was arrested Oct. 27 following three assaults at a bar at 2600 Lefevre St. 

There were five burglaries and one attempt. Burglaries at private residences happened at 1600 Dyre St. (Oct. 16, Jennifer Maceira, 48), 4600 Decatur St. (Oct. 18) and 3500 Englewood St. (Oct. 20), and an attempt at 2900 Longshore Ave. (Oct. 22). Other burglaries happened at a rooming house/shelter at 1000 Arrott St. (Oct. 19) and an unlisted location at 7000 State Road (Oct. 23).

There were 85 thefts, which targeted 28 businesses, 27 vehicles (including four stolen car phones and seven stolen vehicle tags), 11 street thefts (including two purse snatchings), 10 private residences, five bicycles, an apartment house, a public school, a rooming house/shelter and a storage facility. There were 17 arrests made. In addition, 21 vehicles were stolen, and 20 were recovered. Two arrests were made.
