Police are looking for a gunman who robbed a gas station earlier this month in Upper Holmesburg.
The incident occurred Sunday, Nov. 10, at 9:20 a.m. at the Getty station at Frankford Avenue and Megargee Street.
Authorities said the suspect approached the counter and asked employees if the station was hiring. Then, the cashier asked him if he needed anything else, and he said wanted something for his car, police said.
That’s when he pulled a handgun out of his pocket, jumped the counter and pointed the gun at the employees, authorities said. He ordered them to empty the cash register and also took packs of cigarettes and an iPhone X.
Police said the suspect fled east on Megargee and was last seen heading south on Gillespie Street.
Authorities released surveillance footage from the robbery.Â
