More than 110 students in Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at University of the Sciences received their white coats at a recent ceremony, an annual rite of passage for students in their first professional year (third year) of USciences’ six-year pharmacy program. Bloomsburg University held its sixth annual Nursing White Coat ceremony, which celebrates sophomore nursing students who are entering the next phase of their education. Diana Sears was among those who received a white coat.

Leticia Borges has been named a peer tutor at Albright College. A graduate of Northeast High School, Borges is majoring in biology. Tutors are certified by the College Reading and Learning Association’s International Tutor Training Program and must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Eric Dinter was among six Kutztown University geology students who presented research at the Geological Society of America meeting in Phoenix. Dinter and the others also toured geological sites in Arizona, including the Grand Canyon.
