Crime log: Dec. 11, 2019

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

The Northeast Times provides an overview of crimes reported to the four police districts in the Northeast. The details are based on reports compiled by the Northeast Detectives division of the Philadelphia Police Department.

Nov. 25 through Dec. 8

2nd Police District

There were 11 robberies. Albert Bradley, 48, was arrested Dec. 1 after a robbery at a grocery store/mini market at 2100 Cottman Ave. Robberies on the street involving handguns happened at 1500 Robbins St. (Nov. 27), 6400 Rising Sun Ave. (Nov. 28), 800 Foulkrod St. (Nov. 29), 1500 Unruh Ave. (Dec. 3) and 1700 Napfle Ave. (Dec. 8), and incidents on the street with no weapons happened at 500 Alcott St. (Dec. 2) and 6600 Castor Ave. (Dec. 2). Other robberies took place at a private residence at 7200 Horrocks St. (Dec. 6) with a handgun, a bank at 2100 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 6) and a vehicle parked at 2200 Knorr St. (Nov. 26) with a handgun. 

There were 10 aggravated assaults, which resulted in four arrests. Domestic assaults happened at private residences at 6600 Claridge St. (Dec. 1, Milauris Delgado, 25), 6900 Kindred St. (Nov. 25), 1100 Alcott St. (Dec. 1, Brahime Sanders, 43), 6800 Souder St. (Dec. 3) and 1200 Gilham St. (Dec. 1) as well as an assault with a weapon at 500 E. Godfrey Ave. (Nov. 28) and an instance of child abuse at 5900 Malta St. (Dec. 4, Celestine Hudson, 38). Other assaults took place at a cleaner/Laundromat at 6300 Oxford Ave. (Dec. 5), a public school at 1800 Cottman Ave. (Nov. 25) and on the street at 7400 Alma St. (Nov. 27, Ackeem Norman, 26).

There were five burglaries and one attempt, which resulted in two arrests. Luis Rodriguez, 31, was arrested Dec. 6 following a burglary at a private residence at 1400 Saint Vincent St. and a burglary attempt at a residential garage at 1400 Wellington St. Wilquins Castillo, 25, was arrested Dec. 4 following a burglary of a private residence at 800 Bridge St. Other burglaries took place at a private residence at 1100 Friendship St. (Dec. 3), a cleaner/Laundromat at 5700 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 2) and an office building at 7900 Rockwell Ave. (Nov. 28).

There were 86 thefts, which targeted 51 businesses, 21 vehicles (including four stolen vehicle tags), 10 street thefts (including a pickpocketing), two public schools, an apartment house and a library. Six arrests were made. In addition, 14 vehicles were reported stolen, and 11 were recovered. 

7th Police District

The three robberies took place on the street at 9900 Montour St. (Dec. 3) and the intersection of Bustleton Avenue and Red Lion Road (Dec. 8), and at a chain store at 9800 Bustleton Ave. (Dec. 2).

Gregory Fulton, 33, was arrested Nov. 25 following a domestic assault at a private residence at 8100 Leonard St. in the only reported aggravated assault. 

The three burglaries took place at private residences at 10200 Clark St. (Dec. 2) and 500 Somerton Ave. (Dec. 5) and a food store at 8900 Krewstown Road (Dec. 5).

There were 22 thefts, which targeted 12 businesses, seven vehicles (including two stolen vehicle tags), a street theft, a private residence and an apartment house. Two arrests were made. In addition, one stolen vehicle was recovered.

8th Police District

There were two robberies. Diane Thomasen, 80, was arrested Nov. 27 following a robbery of a bank at 12300 Academy Road. An apartment house at 3100 Woodhaven Road was burglarized Dec. 5.

There were four aggravated assaults. Tysheem Watts, 22, was arrested Dec. 7 following an assault with a handgun on the street at 3300 Willits Road. Amir Griffin, 27, was arrested Dec. 3 following a domestic assault at a private residence at 4600 Kraydor St. An assault involving a handgun took place Dec. 3 on the street at 8300 Cottage St. and another assault took place Nov. 25 at a factory/warehouse at 2700 Red Lion Road.

There were three burglaries. Javier Blanco, 23, was arrested Dec. 2 following the burglary of a chain store at 9900 Frankford Ave. Other burglaries took place at an apartment house at 8000 Rowland Ave. on Nov. 28 and an unlisted location at 9500 Leon St. on Nov. 29.

There were 48 thefts, which targeted 24 vehicles (including a stolen car phone and vehicle tag), 16 businesses, three apartment houses, two private residences, two street thefts and a hospital. Seven arrests were made.

15th Police District

There were 21 robberies. Anthony Flexor, 25, was arrested Dec. 6 following a robbery at a private residence at 4600 Richmond St. Robberies on the street involving handguns happened at 1300 Pratt St. (Nov. 27), 1500 Ruan St. (Nov. 27), 5200 Darrah St. (Dec. 1), 2100 Scattergood St. (Dec. 2) and the intersection of F Street and Jericho Road (Dec. 2); robberies with knives happened at 4500 Richmond St. (Dec. 7) and 4700 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 8); a robbery with another weapon happened at 1800 Margaret St. (Nov. 27); and robberies with no weapons happened at 6400 Marsden St. (Nov. 28), 7200 Algard St. (Dec. 4), 5200 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 5) and 3600 Meridian St. (Dec. 6). Other robberies happened at private residences at 7200 Charles St. (Dec. 3) and 4100 Longshore Ave. (Nov. 30), an apartment house at 4900 Oxford Ave. (Nov. 25), a mini market at 7900 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 3), on the street at 4100 Longshore Ave. (Dec. 7), a SEPTA commuter rail line at 4300 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 30) and an unlisted location at 1100 Orthodox St. (Nov. 25).

There were 30 aggravated assaults, which resulted in nine arrests. Assaults at private residences included domestic assaults at 2300 Margaret St. (Nov. 29), 5000 Glenloch St. (Dec. 1, William James, 29), twice at 4400 Comly St. (Dec. 3), 4200 Rhawn St. (Nov. 25), 4200 Rhawn St. (Nov. 25) and 4700 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 7) as well as an assault with a knife at 4700 Rutland St. (Nov. 25, William Kessler, 50) and an assault with no weapon at 4300 Oakmont St. (Dec. 7). Assaults on the street with firearms happened twice at 1200 Arrott St. (Nov. 28, Victor Rodriguez, 23), 4600 Worth St. (Nov. 28), 5200 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 28), 4300 Higbee St. (Nov. 29, Bashawn Knight, 28), 4600 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 30, Quadirah Milburn, 25), 2100 Granite St. (Dec. 1), 1100 Sanger St. (Dec. 4, Nasir Byers, 21) and 1900 Fillmore Place (Dec. 6); with a knife at 4800 Oakland St. (Nov. 25) and 4200 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 30); other weapons at 4200 Griscom St. (Dec. 2), 5000 Whitaker Ave. (Dec. 2) and 7000 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 3); and domestic assaults at 4100 Disston St. (Nov. 27, Tywayne Mason, 41) and twice at 5000 Whitaker Ave. (Dec. 2). Other assaults took place at a hospital at 5900 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 29, Rashann Scott, 34), a restaurant at 2800 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 6) and a public school at 4300 Tacony St. (Dec. 3). 

There were 11 burglaries. Lanay Mull, 21, was arrested Dec. 8 following a burglary of a private residence at 4700 Benner St., and David Williams, 60, was arrested Dec. 4 following the burglary of an apartment house at 1300 Arrott St. Private residences were burglarized at 6300 Gillespie St. (Nov. 28), 4100 Paul St. (Nov. 25), 3500 Bleigh Ave. (Dec. 2), 6300 Cottage St. (Dec. 2), 6500 Vandike St. (Dec. 2), 4200 Milnor St. (Dec. 3) and 4400 Loring St. (Dec. 8). Apartment houses were burglarized at 4300 Frankford Ave. (Nov. 28) and 4600 Penn St. (Dec. 3).

There were 96 thefts, which targeted 34 businesses, 31 vehicles (including two stolen car phones and eight stolen vehicle tags), 17 street thefts, 11 private residences, two apartment houses and a public school. There were 12 arrests.
