Police are looking for a man who stole a gun and pretended to be a plumber during a burglary earlier this month in Lawncrest.
A homeowner on Wednesday, Dec. 11, around 2:50 p.m. returned to their property on the 200 block of Comly Street and found the man inside with electronics and other items gathered by the front door, police said.
The suspect told the victim he was a plumber and fled the scene, leaving behind the valuables. However, it was later discovered the homeowner’s handgun was missing, authorities said.
Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-6 black man ages 36 to 40 with a stocky build. He was wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
