One of the suspects asked the owner of Cheemi’s Boutique to see an item while a woman reached over an unsecured display case and grabbed eight diamond rings, three gold necklaces and two diamond bracelets, police said.

Authorities say the loot has a reported value of $65,900.

The owner noticed the missing items minutes after the interaction and called police just after 4:15 p.m., authorities said. The trio fled the scene without incident.

Authorities described the suspect who distracted the shop owner as a black male in his 50s who is 5 feet 7 inches tall with “bushy” facial hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, black pants and a red hat, police said.

The other suspect is described as a black woman in her 30s who is 5-foot tall with a medium build and complexion. She was wearing a blue and gray jacket and a gray knit hat, police said.

A third person, a black man in his 40s with a beard and dark complexion, was also part of the group, according to authorities.

Northeast Detectives is investigating the theft. ••
