A home invasion left a would-be robber dead and another man injured Thursday night in Wissinoming, authorities said.
It all happened around 9:30 p.m., when officers responded to a home on the 6000 block of Tulip Street for a report of a shooting. They found a 28-year-old man who had been shot in the arm, allegedly by two men who had broken into the house, police said.
He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to authorities.Â
Police said a woman who was also in the house stabbed one of the intruders. Officers later received word that a 19-year-old man with stab wounds showed up at Jefferson Frankford Hospital. The man, who investigators believe was one of the robbers, died at 10:40 p.m., according to police.
Authorities later identified him as Lizardo Reyes, of Fairhill.
