2nd Police District
There were 20 robberies. Michael Holden, 32, was arrested Jan. 25 after a robbery involved a knife on the street at 6600 Harbison Ave., and Ubaidullah Muhammad, 18, was arrested Feb. 1 following a robbery at 2300 Cottman Ave. Robberies on the street with handguns took place at 1200 Glenview St. (Jan. 20), 6600 Castor Ave. (Jan. 21), 1400 Friendship St. (Jan. 24), 1000 Rosalie St. (Jan. 28), the intersection of St. Vincent and Large streets (Jan. 29), 7200 Whitaker Ave. (Jan. 29) and vehicles parked at 600 Adams Ave. (Jan. 27) and 5900 Frontenac St. (Jan. 28), and robberies on the street with no weapon happened at 6500 Castor Ave. (Jan. 21), 7000 Algon Ave. (Jan. 21), 7500 Dungan Road (Jan. 26) and 1400 Magee Ave. (Jan. 29). Other robberies happened at retail locations at 2300 Cottman Ave. (Jan. 25), 6400 Rising Sun Ave. (Jan. 20) and 7300 Rising Sun Ave. (Jan. 30), a private residence at 1400 Lardner St. (Jan. 23) and an apartment house at 7800 Langdon St. (Jan. 27).
There were 11 aggravated assaults, which resulted in four arrests. Assaults on the street included domestic assaults at 5300 Howland St. (Jan. 25) and 1400 Higbee St. (Jan. 26, Shaniqua Baker, 29), assaults with handguns at 5500 Hill Creek Place (Jan. 22) and 1500 Princeton Ave. (Jan. 27), assaults with knives at 6500 Martins Mill Road (Jan. 28, Ryan Staffieri, 34) and 6000 Shisler St. (Jan. 30), an assault with another weapon at 5500 Hill Creek Place (Jan. 23, Arnetta Clark, 54), assaults with no weapons at 2400 Napfle Ave. (Jan. 26) and 6000 Rising Sun Ave. (Jan. 27) and two assaults on police at 500 E. Godfrey Ave. (Jan. 24, Marquis McGhee, 26).
There were four burglaries. These happened at private residences at 800 Granite St. (Jan 29), 6900 Horrocks St. (Jan. 28), 6400 Dorcas St. (Jan. 23) and 6000 Bingham St. (Jan. 27) and a chain retail store at 5600 Rising Sun Ave. (Jan. 22).Â
There were 107 thefts, which targeted 52 businesses, 37 vehicles (including four stolen vehicle tags), 10 street thefts (including three purse snatchings), two hospitals, two private residences, an apartment house, a residential garage, a bicycle and an unlisted location. Six arrests were made.
7th Police District
There were no reported robberies.
There were four aggravated assaults. Val Stone, 66, was arrested Jan. 20 following an assault on the street at 2300 Strahle St. with a handgun. Other assaults included incidents on the street at 2000 Grant Ave. (Jan. 25), a domestic assault at 9900 Wingtip Road (Jan. 30) and at a public school at 10100 Bustleton Ave. (Jan. 23).
There were five burglaries. Michael Dipasquale, 42, was arrested Jan. 31 following a burglary at a gas station at 9400 Bustleton Ave. Other burglaries took place at private residences at 11000 Bustleton Ave. (Jan. 20) and 1900 Greymont St. (Jan. 28), an apartment house at 9800 Wistaria St. (Jan. 20) and a storage facility at 1500 Grant Ave. (Jan. 31).
There were 31 thefts, which targeted 11 vehicles (including two stolen vehicle tags), 11 businesses, two doctor’s offices, two private residences, a street theft, an apartment house, a mental institution, a nursing/retirement home and a SEPTA bus/trolley. Two arrests were made.
8th Police District
There were five robberies, which took place at private residences at 3300 Morning Glory Road (Jan. 24) with a handgun and 3600 Newberry Road (Jan. 22) with a rifle, a retail location at 1300 Franklin Mills Circle (Jan. 27), on the street at 11200 Roosevelt Blvd. (Jan. 27) and an unlisted location involving a knife at 100 Franklin Mills Blvd. (Jan. 20).
There were four aggravated assaults. Brian Quinn, 38, was arrested Jan. 26 following a domestic assault in a private residence at 3500 Vinton Road. Other assaults took place at a department store at 4300 Byberry Road (Jan. 30) with a knife, on the street at 11200 Academy Road (Jan. 24) and at a prison facility at 8000 State Road (Jan. 26).
There were eight burglaries and one attempt. Michael Dipasquale, 52, was arrested Jan. 31 following two burglaries at a restaurant at 9000 Frankford Ave. Other burglaries happened at private residences at 2600 Welsh Road (Jan. 22), 8100 Lexington Ave. (Jan. 22), 3100 Weston St. (Jan. 23), 10900 Ellicott Road (Jan. 29) and an attempt at 8600 Glenloch St. (Jan. 23). Another burglary happened at an unlisted location at 9200 Glenloch St. (Jan. 29).
There were 46 thefts, which targeted 28 businesses, 10 vehicles (including two stolen car phones and vehicle tag), two street thefts, two private residences, two nursing/retirement homes, an apartment house and an unlisted location. Nine arrests were made. In addition, two vehicles were reported stolen, and two were recovered.
15th Police District
There were 22 robberies, which resulted in five arrests. Robberies on the street happened at 1900 Pratt St. (Jan. 23), 1900 Margaret St. (Jan. 28), 1900 E. Cheltenham Ave. (Jan. 28), 1300 Pratt St. (Jan. 29) and the intersection of Penn and Pratt streets (Jan. 30), all of which involved handguns; the intersection of Knorr and Algard streets (Jan. 27) that involved a knife; and 1900 Pratt St. (Jan. 20), 5200 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 22), the intersection of Sackett Street and Magee Avenue (Jan. 23, Valdis Mathis, 30, and Tammie Prince-Mathis, 48), 5100 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 23), 1300 Harrison St. (Jan. 24), 6300 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 25), 1700 Wakeling St. (Jan. 30), 5800 Charles St. (Feb. 1), 3400 Wellington St. (Feb. 2) and 4200 Comly St. (Feb. 2), all of which did not involve weapons. Other robberies took place at a chain store at 7200 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 21) with a handgun, a food store at 5000 Frankford Ave. with a handgun (Naquan Rollins-Scantlebury, 30), retail locations at 6300 Hawthorne St. (Jan. 31) and 6700 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 26, Cameron Caramenica, 26), a mini market at 6600 Roosevelt Blvd. (Jan. 27, Mohamed Boukhrissi, 18) and a SEPTA elevated station at 5200 Frankford Ave. (Jan. 24).Â
There were 14 aggravated assaults, which resulted in seven arrests. Assaults on the street happened at 4600 Griscom St. with a handgun (Jan. 21, Daiquan Benson, 24), 6300 Roosevelt Blvd. with a handgun (Jan. 25), 6400 Hawthorne St. (Jan. 22) and four assaults on police at 4600 Hawthorne St. (Jan. 23). Other assaults happened at private residences at 5400 Walker St. (Jan. 30, Raheem Gladney, 29) and 6200 Bustleton Ave. (Jan. 21, Edgar Trejapena, 42), an apartment house at 4800 Comly St. (Jan. 23), a restaurant at 4700 Oxford Ave. with a knife (Jan. 24, David Emmanuel, 27), a bar at 6900 State Road (Jan. 23), a retail location at 5800 Torresdale Ave. (Jan. 30, Lawan Duhart, 39, Dawan K. Sawyer, 20, and Jerel A. Stewart, 24) and at a public school at 1900 Wakeling St. (Jan. 29).
There were 10 burglaries. Michael Dipasquale, 52, was arrested Jan. 31 following two burglaries at a retail location at the intersection of Frankford and Cottman avenues (Jan. 24) and a chain food store at 4500 Castor Ave. (Jan. 24). Other burglaries happened at apartment houses at 1100 Arrott St. (Jan. 23), 1300 Foulkrod St. (Jan. 31), 4500 McKinley St. (Jan. 23) and 4500 Higbee St. (Jan. 26), at private residences at 4500 Marple St. (Jan. 20), 5800 Saul St. (Jan. 21) and 1200 Fillmore St. (Jan. 24) and at an unlisted location at 6200 Bustleton Ave. (Jan. 30).
There were 89 thefts, which targeted 38 vehicles (including two stolen car phones and nine stolen vehicle tags), 33 businesses, nine street thefts, six private residences, two apartment houses and a public school. Eight arrests were made.
