Police investigating stabbing death in Somerton

The police homicide detective division is investigating a murder that took place on Saturday, March 14, on the 11000 block of Rennard St. in Somerton.

Police responded at 2:59 a.m. to a report of a person screaming.

At the scene, they found 20-year-old Alexander Villaran, who had been stabbed in the back.

Villaran, of the 4100 block of N. Fairhill St. in Hunting Park, was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:50 a.m.

No arrests have been made, and no weapon was recovered. ••
