Emily Miller graduated from the University of Tampa on May 9 with a degree in athletic training. The virtual commencement ceremony featured 1,752 undergraduate and graduate students. ••

A total of 1,101 students received degrees from East Stroudsburg University on May 9. Among those graduating were Makayla Alston, Khamani Barnes-Green, Nybria Burton, Timothy Butwin, Danny Chen, Aisha Dillard, Eric DosSantos, Thomas Gallagher, Veronica Harding, Kelly Hofmeister, Marc Jean-Baptiste, Laura Null, Kathleen O’Brien, Alliah Rone, Samantha Weston and Jenna Worrell. ••

Vince Darmohray was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 fall Semester. Darmohray is in the biotechnology and molecular bioscience program. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for dean’s list if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of “Incomplete”, “D” or “F”; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours. ••

To be eligible for the dean’s list at Albright College, students must earn a GPA of 3.75 or better while taking a minimum of three graded courses during a semester. Local students earning dean’s list status were Nelson Nunez, a graduate of Community Academy of Philadelphia majoring in music industry studies; Justin Darmohray, a graduate of Father Judge majoring in game and simulation development; Tori Watson, a graduate of New Foundations Charter School majoring in health psychology; Carleigh Molinaro, a graduate of St. Hubert majoring in crime and justice with a minor in legal studies; and Marissa Hazzard, a graduate of Swenson Arts and Technology majoring in molecular psychobiology. ••

More than 1,500 students were named to the dean’s list at York College. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. Local members of the dean’s list are Ayomikun Akinmusire, Sara D’aloia, Jalil Dixon, Kylee Fisher, Zachary Gillon, Ashley Goetter and Sarah Weber. ••

Bloomsburg University student Zechariah Hanna earned a Professional Experience Grant, which helps students defray the cost of professional development activities and applied learning outside the realm of the academic classroom. Hanna was awarded a grant to conduct research focusing on the connection between the Great Horned Owl and the West Nile virus. ••

Kayla McNamee competed as a member of the Alvernia University Golden Wolves women’s soccer team while studying healthcare science. McNamee is a graduate of Nazareth Academy. ••

Thomas Emanoff, a general studies student, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of six credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average. ••

Shyonna Williams has been named to the fall 2019 dean’s list at Mansfield University. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must be attending the university full time and attain at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester. ••

Talynn Holman is among a group of Slippery Rock University dancers who were part of the SRU Winter Showcase, State of Being. ••

Adelina Sacouto was co-winner for Russian and Eastern European Studies as Bloomsburg University’s Department of Languages and Cultures announced its outstanding achievement awards in foreign languages for 2019-20. ••
