Michael Monacelli
A Trevose man was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal car accident in the Far Northeast on May 5.
Michael Monacelli, 29, turned himself in at the 15th Police District. He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, possessing an instrument of crime, reckless driving and driving at an unsafe speed.
Police said the accident happened at 8:22 p.m. The victim was James Trinacria, 57, of the 100 block of Ridgefield Road.
Police said Monacelli was driving a 2019 Dodge Challenger northbound on the 11000 block of Knights Road when it struck Trinacria, who was crossing at Dorchester Road. Monacelli remained at the scene. Trinacria was pronounced dead at the scene. ••
