The police homicide division is investigating a murder that took place on Sunday morning on the 4700 block of Lansing St., just east of Torresdale Avenue, in Holmesburg.
Police said the crime took place at 4:52 a.m. inside a vehicle.
The victim, a 40-year-old black man, was shot once in the left upper chest. He was pronounced dead on the scene by a medic unit at 5 a.m.
No arrest has been made, and no weapon has been recovered. ••
