A mass shooting on the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue Thursday night left one man dead and six others injured, including two who police say are in extremely critical condition.
At least two gunmen opened fire on the victims, all Black men, at 7:46 p.m.
A 29-year-old man was shot in the back of the head and pronounced dead at Temple Hospital at 8:10 p.m.
The two men in critical condition are a 28-year-old who was shot all over his body and a 25-year-old who was shot once in his mid-section. Both were transported to Jefferson Frankford Hospital, and the 25-year-old was then transferred to Jefferson Torresdale.
Other victims were a 32-year-old man shot in the wrist and thigh, a 38-year-old shot in the thigh, a “John Doe” shot an unknown number of times and a 28-year-old shot in the right leg and left arm.
Police have not announced any arrests or released any suspect descriptions. ••
