Group of men invade Oxford Circle home

A man who was home when five or six men entered his home was injured but refused medical attention.

A 31-year-old man was injured after a group of men invaded his home on the 6700 block of Akron Street early Thursday morning, police said.

Police say the group of five or six Hispanic men entered the home at about 4:14 a.m. Two or three of the men were armed with guns. The 31-year-old Hispanic male was home with a 36-year-old Hispanic female and a 9-year-old Hispanic male.

The victim was hit in the head with an unknown object. The man refused medical treatment when a PFD medic unit responded.

The suspects left the scene with studio equipment and cell phones.

The investigation is ongoing with Northeast Detectives Division and no arrests have been reported. ••
